Scalable network architecture for centrally managing distributed water treatment facilities across Australia. Secure customer access, HMI/PLC connectivity and remote diagnostics through a central platform.
Centrally monitor and manage distributed water treatment plants at remote sites across Australia – with secure, isolated access for end customers.
Scalable multi-tenant architecture with VPN-based access, HMI/PLC integration and role-based access control. Central monitoring via ThingsBoard with customer-specific dashboards.
IoT projects across 14,000 km sound complicated. They're not – when the architecture and processes are right.
ABCO Water is not a pilot project – it's production infrastructure for distributed sites across the Australian outback. We know the challenges first-hand.
Architecture, development, deployment and operations – all remote. CET/AEST overlap for daily sync, async documentation for the rest.
Default: GDPR-compliant hosting on German servers. On request: hosting on Australian infrastructure or hybrid. No vendor lock-in.
Proactive monitoring around the clock, automatic alerts and SLA-based response times. The time difference is not a disadvantage – it enables quasi-continuous operations.
LoRaWAN is ideal for Australia's vast areas: long range, minimal power consumption and no cellular network required.

We rely on Milesight and know the product portfolio inside out – from environmental sensors to LoRaWAN gateways to industrial controllers. We advise, source and integrate the right hardware for your use case.
Milesight hardware ships worldwide – we deliver pre-configured and firmware-updated, ready to deploy.
We also work with hardware from other manufacturers – whether proprietary or open-source. What matters is that it works reliably and integrates into our stack.
Our IoT services run under the merkaio brand. As an IoT system integrator, we guide you through the entire project – from analysis through network deployment and platform development to ongoing operations.

Yes. The platform runs on German infrastructure, data is transmitted via MQTT/HTTPS from sensors and gateways in Australia. For latency-critical applications, we also offer hosting on Australian infrastructure.
CET and AEST overlap for several hours each day – enough for daily syncs. Monitoring runs 24/7, alerts are processed in real-time. Documentation and tickets run asynchronously.
For dashboard access and data visualization, latency (~250ms) is not an issue. For real-time control or SCADA applications, we recommend hosting on Australian infrastructure or a hybrid setup.
Yes. We deploy IoT platforms on any infrastructure – whether German servers, Australian cloud providers or on-premise in your data center. The architecture is identical.
Australia uses the AU915 frequency plan (915–928 MHz). We configure gateways and sensors accordingly and comply with ACMA regulatory requirements.
We source hardware (Milesight, etc.) and ship it pre-configured and firmware-updated. Alternatively, we work with local distributors in Australia.
Yes. We work with ATEX-compatible sensors for mining environments, know ACMA radio regulations and implement projects with Australian compliance requirements.
Yes. We integrate existing SCADA and PLC systems via OPC-UA, Modbus or MQTT into the IoT platform. The ABCO Water project is based on exactly this integration.
Our standard stack: ChirpStack as LoRaWAN network server, ThingsBoard for device management and dashboards, Grafana for visualization and Node-RED for data flow automation.
Mining & Resources, Water Management, Agriculture & Livestock, Energy & Renewables and Infrastructure & Utilities. Our platforms are industry-agnostic and configurable.
We work from PoC (Proof of Concept) with a few sensors to multi-site installations with thousands of devices. Getting started with a small pilot project is absolutely possible.
Yes. We advise on IoT architecture, platform selection, network planning and hardware evaluation – even without subsequent implementation by us.
Costs depend on the platform, number of devices and desired service level. We provide a transparent quote with no hidden fees – regardless of location.
A standard installation (ChirpStack or ThingsBoard) is production-ready within a few days. More complex setups with custom integrations are planned individually.
No. Our hosting services are cancellable monthly. We rely on quality, not contract lock-in.
Describe your project – we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
Whether a specific IT challenge or just an idea – we look forward to the exchange. In a brief conversation, we'll evaluate together if and how your project fits with WZ-IT.
