No more "managed on the side". We take responsibility for your Linux infrastructure – whether on-premise, cloud or dedicated.

Backup Management
In many companies, infrastructure is managed by developers. That works – until the first security incident, database crash or failed update.
Missing updates and open ports are attack vectors. A hack can destroy years of reputation in minutes.
Every hour developers spend on server debugging is missing from product development.
When the server goes down Sunday at 3am, no one's available. We offer guaranteed response times.
Choose the right package for your requirements.

Answers to the most important questions about server management
Managed Operations means: We take over the entire operation of your Linux infrastructure. This includes proactive monitoring, security updates, backup oversight, performance optimization and incident response. You focus on your business – we handle the technology.
Yes. We often take over historically grown systems ('brownfield'). We handle stabilizing the infrastructure beneath the application – whether it's Magento, Shopware, WordPress, Plone (Python/Zope), Typo3 or specific ERP/CRM systems (e.g. Odoo). We ensure the services (PHP-FPM, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/Postgres, Solr/Elasticsearch) run performantly and the server is secured, even if the software stack is older.
We work provider-agnostic. Our specialty is Hetzner (root servers, cloud, vSwitch), but we also manage systems at AWS, IONOS, OVH, Netcup, Contabo and on-premise infrastructures. What matters is not where your server is located, but that it's professionally managed.
First understand, then act: We start with a server audit to document the current state. Then we create a takeover plan with priorities. The transition happens gradually – without operational interruption. Documentation and credentials are handed over cleanly.
Yes, Cloud Exit is one of our specialties. We have already migrated several companies from AWS/Azure to Hetzner – with savings of 60-80% in ongoing costs. More on our migration page.
We offer two SLA levels: Business Hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, response within 4 hours) and 24/7 Emergency (response within 30 minutes for critical incidents). The appropriate level depends on your infrastructure criticality.
Primarily Debian, Ubuntu LTS, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux – the enterprise standards. More exotic distributions on request. Important: We only work with supported versions, no end-of-life systems.
No. We specialize in Linux and open-source infrastructure. For Windows environments, we're happy to recommend partners from our network. Hybrid setups (Linux backend + Windows clients) we can support on the Linux side.
No. WZ-IT is a team of Linux specialists. This means: No single point of failure, vacation coverage included, and expertise in different areas (databases, networking, security, containerization).
Yes. We routinely manage Docker environments. Kubernetes (self-hosted or managed like EKS/GKE) by arrangement – the effort depends heavily on cluster complexity. For many workloads, we recommend Docker Compose or Podman as leaner alternatives.
Yes, backup is a core component of our managed services. We implement and monitor backups according to the 3-2-1 rule, regularly test restores and ensure offsite copies. Encryption and ransomware protection are standard.
Our focus is on the infrastructure level (OS, database, web server, containers). For application problems, we analyze logs and resource bottlenecks. Deep code debugging is not part of the standard scope, but can be added as a development service.
Yes, Proxmox VE is one of our specialties. We manage single-node setups up to Ceph clusters with high availability. We also perform migrations from VMware to Proxmox. More on our Proxmox page.
Transparent monthly flat rates per server or environment. No hidden costs, no surprises. The exact price depends on the number and complexity of systems. One-time projects (migration, audit) are billed at fixed prices.
Yes. We work with several agencies that offer our server expertise to their clients. Communication then runs through your channels, we stay in the background. Ask us about partner models.
It depends on complexity. A single standard server starts at a few hundred euros per month. For a concrete price we need: number of servers, services used, SLA requirements. Start with a free initial consultation.
Absolutely. The server audit is our entry product. You receive a comprehensive report on security, backups and performance – with no obligation to take over. Many customers book managed services afterwards, but that's your decision.
