Anyone virtualizing at OVH (Proxmox, KVM) knows the pain: You have to generate virtual MAC addresses in the OVH Manager and configure them in the guest system. We automate this routing and ensure your containers and VMs are always reachable.
3. Anti-DDoS (VAC) Tuning
OVH's DDoS protection is one of the best in the world. For critical services, we configure the OVH Network Firewall (Edge Firewall) so that attacks are filtered before they even hit your server ("Permanent Mitigation").

Yes. Even though Kimsufi and SoYouStart (now partly listed under 'Eco') are the budget brands, important services often run on them. Since OVH support here is virtually non-existent, our managed service is particularly valuable.
We keep your Linux operating system (Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky) up to date. We install security updates for kernel and services. At OVH this is particularly important, as outdated systems are often automatically blocked by OVH's security system (Abuse) when compromised.
Yes. When a server no longer boots or has been blocked by OVH due to 'hack suspicion', it ends up in rescue netboot. We log in, mount the disks, backup data, repair the configuration and bring the server back to normal operation.
We install our own monitoring agent. We monitor 24/7 availability, CPU load, RAM and especially disk status (SMART values). Since OVH doesn't offer 'managed hardware', it's essential to detect disk errors early.
Yes. This is our most common use case at OVH. We configure the Proxmox host, set up Linux bridges correctly and handle routing of Failover IPs to individual VMs.
We like to use the included FTP backup space as one target, but never as the only one. We set up encrypted offsite backups (e.g. to Hetzner Storage Boxes or S3 storage). We use tools like BorgBackup or Restic.
No. Never share your password! OVH has a good permissions system. You add us in the OVH Manager as Technical Contact for the relevant servers. This gives us the necessary rights for reboots and tickets.
Yes. OVH offers an extremely cost-effective alternative to AWS with its Dedicated Servers and Public Cloud (OpenStack). We plan the migration, transfer terabytes of data and rebuild your infrastructure on OVH servers.
