Yes. We specialize in taking over existing systems. We stabilize the infrastructure beneath your application – even if it runs older versions of Magento 1, Shopware 5, Typo3, Plone (Zope) or Drupal. Our goal is to secure operations (e.g. through upstream firewalls or containerization) without requiring you to rewrite the application immediately.
That's a risk, but not an obstacle for takeover. We take over the server into operations ('Rescue Ops'), harden it as much as possible and plan an upgrade strategy together with you (dist-upgrade or migration to a new Hetzner server). We won't leave you alone with the outdated system.
Absolutely. As open-source specialists, we're familiar not only with the Linux kernel but also with the applications running on it. We optimize PostgreSQL for Odoo, Java heaps for Elasticsearch or Nginx configs for Jitsi video bridges directly on Hetzner hardware.
We draw a clear line: We're responsible for the infrastructure (web server, database, caching, OS). If your application throws a '500 Internal Server Error', we analyze the logs and tell your developers exactly where the problem is (e.g. 'Slow query in DB' or 'PHP memory limit'). But we don't rewrite your business logic. By the way: We also have development expertise on our team – if you need code support, that's a separate service we're happy to offer.
Yes. We manage the Docker daemon, handle pruning of old images/volumes (so the disk doesn't fill up) and monitor container health. On request, we also help you set up a deployment pipeline (CI/CD) so you can deploy updates safely.
Yes, unrestricted. The server and account belong to you. We work transparently on your infrastructure. This distinguishes us from classic 'managed hosters' where you only get a web interface. You retain full commercial and technical control.
We handle everything. Our monitoring often detects defects proactively (e.g. rising SMART errors on NVMe drives). We contact Hetzner support, arrange a replacement appointment at the data center (Falkenstein/Nuremberg/Helsinki) and then handle the RAID array rebuild or data restore.
Yes, that's our daily business. We set up Hetzner vSwitches (VLANs) to separate cluster traffic (Ceph/Corosync) from the public network. We also configure routing for failover IPs and subnets so your VMs automatically restart when a node fails (high availability).
Yes. The server auction is extremely cost-effective but carries risks due to older hardware. We mitigate this risk through close hardware monitoring and a mandatory, solid backup strategy to external storage boxes. This way you can save money without losing sleep.
Hetzner already provides solid basic protection. For web applications, we can additionally configure local firewalls (nftables/fail2ban) or place Cloudflare as layer 7 protection in front of the Hetzner server. We advise you on the optimal configuration.
We set up 'Managed Backup'. Usually we use Hetzner Storage Boxes in the same or a different data center. We use tools like BorgBackup or Restic that encrypt, deduplicate and compress data client-side. We monitor daily whether backups ran successfully.
That depends on the chosen SLA. In standard operation, we respond prioritized on weekdays (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm). For critical e-commerce or SaaS platforms, we offer 24/7 SLAs. Our monitoring system alerts our on-call team immediately for critical conditions (ping loss, RAID degrade), often before you notice.
We promptly apply security-relevant updates (security patches). Larger updates (kernel, distribution, database versions) that require a restart are coordinated with you and performed during defined maintenance windows to minimize downtime.
No. There's no physical move and no contract change. The server stays physically at Hetzner and contractually with you. We only need administrative access (SSH key).
Yes. We analyze your AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3) and map it to Hetzner services (dedicated server, managed DBs, MinIO object storage). We plan and execute the migration. Cost savings are often 50-70%. More: AWS to Hetzner Migration.
We charge a monthly flat rate per server (Managed Service Fee) that covers monitoring, updates and basic support. You pay hardware costs directly to Hetzner. This is transparent and usually much cheaper than classic 'reselling'.
