IT orientation workshop: decide which topic comes first

You know that something in your IT has to change, but not where to start. In the orientation workshop, management and IT sort systems, pain points and dependencies together. You receive a prioritized topic list with a recommendation per topic and a fixed-price proposal for the next step.

Starting point

Something has to change, but it is unclear what comes first

  • Several issues at once: ageing servers, rising license costs, data protection questions, dependency on US clouds
  • Management and IT set different priorities
  • Before investing, you want to know which topics take precedence
  • It is unclear whether a selection, an assessment or direct implementation is the right next step

Outcome

A prioritized topic list instead of a strategy paper

After the workshop you know which topics take precedence and how each one continues. The topic list belongs to you and is usable without a follow-up order.

  • Prioritized topic list

Your topics ordered by urgency and impact, with the dependencies between them.
  • Recommendation per topic

A reasoned route per topic: solve it yourself, selection, assessment or implementation.
  • Fixed-price proposal for the next step

For the most important topic you receive a proposal with a fixed price, for example for a selection or a check.

All consulting starting points with prices: intro call, consulting hour, selection and checks.

Scope

What the orientation workshop covers

The workshop is open to any topic: infrastructure, applications, access, operations, software and AI. It does not examine individual systems in detail; it sorts and prioritizes.

Included
  • Preparation

Agreement on participants, occasions and documents before the session.

  • Half-day workshop

Management and IT together, remote or on site plus travel costs.

  • Current-state review

Systems, contracts, dependencies on US clouds and licenses, data protection requirements.

  • Prioritization

Topics ordered by urgency, impact and dependencies.

  • Recommendation per topic

Solve it yourself, selection, assessment or implementation, each with reasons.

  • Written outcome

Topic list with recommendations and a fixed-price proposal for the next step.

Boundary

The workshop sorts, the next stage assesses or decides

  • Technical assessment of individual systems (part of a check or audit)
  • Tool selection with demo instances and decision paper (part of a selection package)
  • Implementation, migration and operations
  • Legal or data protection advice in the legal sense

Process

How the orientation workshop works

The workshop runs remotely; on-site meetings are possible plus travel costs. Your systems stay unchanged and we do not need credentials.

  1. 01

    Preparation

Agree participants, occasions and existing documents beforehand so the workshop starts with your questions.

  2. 02

    Current state and pain points

Today's systems, dependencies on US clouds and licenses, data protection requirements and where daily work gets stuck.

  3. 03

    Set priorities

Order topics by urgency, impact and dependencies, together with management and IT.

  4. 04

    Outcome and proposal

Hand over the topic list with a recommendation per topic in writing, plus the fixed-price proposal for the next step.

What we need for the workshop

  • Participation of management and the people responsible for IT
  • A rough overview of today's systems and contracts, if available
  • Current occasions such as expiring licenses, outages or planned projects
  • No credentials and no preparatory work on your systems

Price

Orientation with a defined scope

Scope and price of the orientation workshop are agreed before you order. You receive the proposal for the next step together with the outcome.

Remote is the default; on-site sessions are charged with travel costs. The workshop is not credited against follow-up orders; a selection or a check is credited against the subsequent rollout.

All prices are net and exclude statutory VAT. The offers are addressed to businesses.

Defined scope

Orientation workshop

For companies facing several IT topics that need a reasoned order.

from €1,490excl. VAT, one-time
  • Preparation and agreement on occasions
  • Half-day workshop with management and IT
  • Prioritized topic list with a recommendation per topic
  • Fixed-price proposal for the next step

Outcome: Prioritized topic list with a recommendation per topic and a fixed-price proposal for the next step.

What clients say about our consulting

Clearly explained, properly assessed and then implemented.

WZ-IT moved our studio infrastructure from decentralised individual devices to a central platform: every site is securely connected via VPN, new devices are onboarded automatically and an entire site is provisioned from a template, without manual steps on location. What impressed me most is the breadth and depth of their knowledge: Timo and Robin are not a typical IT provider who sets up a server and leaves. The two of them think their way into highly complex infrastructure and software topics, work through every requirement we put in front of them, and build networking, provisioning and operations so that everything fits together in the end. WZ-IT is an excellent partner for complex software, network and architecture projects.
