OpenCloud combines personal and shared spaces, synchronisation, sharing and web access in a sovereign file platform.
We design data migration, POSIX or S3 storage, identities, clients, external shares, Collabora Online, backup and recovery as one system.
Storage and migration define the architecture
Capacity alone is not sufficient for sizing. File count, clients, synchronisation patterns, external sharing and office editing determine I/O and operating effort.
Before migration, we assess data volume, permissions, source system and cutover requirements and define a test migration and validation plan.

Operate OpenCloud as a central file and collaboration platform

As part of the project, a Proxmox-based virtualization environment was set up along with a virtual machine for our application systems. Additionally, a structured backup concept was implemented. A particular focus was on security: the setup of a VPN tunnel and the clean implementation of encryption and access concepts were professionally executed.
