Assembly platform
Install, configure and update OpenSlides and its services in a controlled process.
WZ-IT provides OpenSlides hosting, installation and technical operations for digital meetings, including hardening, backups, monitoring and preparation for critical event dates.
Companies worldwide trust WZ-IT
The following are trademarks of their respective owners: OpenSlides (the OpenSlides project and Intevation GmbH). WZ-IT is an independent service provider and has no business, partnership, or contractual relationship with these companies. We offer independent migration, installation, hosting, and operations services.
OpenSlides is an open-source platform for agendas, motions, speaker lists, votes and elections. User imports, roles, devices, networks and support must be tested before the event.
We assess participant numbers, functions, locations and criticality and design a rehearsal, deployment, monitoring and recovery plan.
The software provides technical functions. The organiser reviews statutes, electoral rules, legal admissibility and concrete procedures.
The calculator covers standard operations. Special load, readiness or event requirements are scoped separately in the proposal.
Assembly software must do more than remain available. Participant import, roles, documents, projection and voting procedures must be tested together before the event.
Install, configure and update OpenSlides and its services in a controlled process.
Back up and handle the database, files, imports and exports completely and transparently.
Secure users, roles, SSO and external access paths for the event.
Prepare load tests, monitoring, recovery and escalation before critical dates.
WZ-IT is responsible for the agreed technical operations. The organiser defines procedures, permissions and the authoritative results.
| Area | Responsibility | Scope and boundaries |
|---|---|---|
| Platform and infrastructure | WZ-IT | Deployment, proxy, database, services, monitoring and agreed technical maintenance. |
| Backup and recovery | WZ-IT | Backups of database, files, configuration and keys plus agreed restore verification. |
| Participant import and roles | Shared | We support import and technical roles; the organiser supplies and validates participant and permission data. |
| Rehearsal and load profile | Shared | WZ-IT provides the technology and measurements; the customer tests the actual event procedure. |
| Electoral and procedural rules | Customer | Legal admissibility, statutes, electoral rules and business approvals remain with the organiser. |
| SSO, streaming and custom integration | Optional WZ-IT service | Identity providers, live streaming, custom exports and other integrations are planned separately. |
Prepare and publish the schedule, items, documents and responsibilities centrally.
Organise motions, amendments, status and deliberation sequences transparently.
Manage requests to speak and sequence during the assembly in a structured way.
Configure users, delegates, guests and administrative permissions for the event.
Test TLS, network paths, authentication and administrative interfaces before use.
Export resolutions, voting results and minutes information within the intended scope.
Share templates, attachments and assembly materials centrally with the intended participant groups.
Test and document recurring structures, imports and roles before the event.
Configure content for room displays, live streams or other approved presentation paths.
Import participants, committees and prepared content through supported formats in a controlled way.
Structure organisations, committees and separate meetings with suitable roles and access boundaries.
Prepare monitoring, capacity, recovery and escalation paths for critical event dates.
A clearly defined operating scope instead of an opaque hosting flat fee.
We set up a test instance for you, usually on the next business day. No payment details required. After seven days it is deleted unless you continue.
We combine the right compute size with ongoing operations, backups, monitoring and a service level appropriate for the criticality of OpenSlides. High availability and recovery targets are designed separately where needed.
We also design custom hosting architectures, integrations and migrations around OpenSlides. Contact us for a technical assessment.
One managed standard OpenSlides application is included in the Starter workload. Business and higher levels add a flexible operations allowance for planned work during regular service hours. Select compute, additional applications, storage and the appropriate service level.
A workload is one compute instance with the applications agreed for it.
One standard app per workload is already included. Additional dedicated servers count as separate workloads.
€79.90 per started TB and month, including daily encrypted offsite backup with 7-day retention.

Briefly describe the current state and objective for OpenSlides. We assess infrastructure, integration, and ongoing operations.
The number of registered accounts is not enough. Concurrent users, votes, projection, uploads and time-critical peaks determine the architecture.
| Usage scenario | Technical starting point | Key factors |
|---|---|---|
| Small committee or internal meeting | Technical starting point S or M | Normal usage with limited concurrency and a planned schedule. |
| Association or assembly with many participants | Load and procedure review | Concurrent logins, votes and projector views are tested. |
| Multiple parallel meetings | Individual platform architecture | Tenant boundaries, capacity, data retention and operations are designed separately. |
| Business-critical election or major event | Recovery and readiness concept | Redundancy, recovery, support paths and rehearsal are agreed explicitly. |
The configuration captures a technical starting point. A binding proposal follows review of features, participants, event risk and integrations.
The location follows participant access, privacy, existing infrastructure and required technical responsibility.
Dedicated platform on European infrastructure with agreed operations and service level.
Deployment in your cloud using existing network and security controls.
Installation on your virtualisation or a WZ-IT App Node in the corporate network.
Central platform with controlled access for sites, room technology and external participants.
We design the complete chain of access, identity, OpenSlides services, data retention and recovery.
Members, delegates, guests, administration and event technology.
TLS, reverse proxy, network rules, rate limits and VPN where required.
Imported users or SSO with minimal administrative permissions.
Agenda, motions, speaker lists, votes, projectors and exports.
Stateful platform services and consistent data retention.
Documents, configuration, keys and encrypted backups.
Technical metrics, error signals and agreed escalation paths.
Technical operations alone do not establish the legal admissibility of a vote or election. The organiser remains responsible for the procedure and business approval.
Answers about deployment, events, data and responsibility.
Yes. We can provide infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, backups, updates and technical support within the agreed scope. Event procedures and business content remain with the customer.
Yes. We install OpenSlides on your virtualisation or a suitable local appliance and connect access, identity, backup and monitoring.
We consider concurrent participants, login peaks, voting, projector views, file uploads, parallel meetings and the risk associated with the event date.
We support the data format, test import and technical role mapping. The organiser validates data quality, voting rights and business assignments.
No. Statutes, electoral rules, legal admissibility and the concrete configuration must be reviewed by the organiser or an appropriate specialist.
Yes, where the target version and authentication path support it. We design SSO, roles, emergency access and handling of external participants together.
Recovery, restore, redundancy and response times are agreed in advance. For critical dates we recommend a rehearsal, documented fallbacks and an appropriate service level.
As an alternative to managed hosting in the data centre, WZ-IT provides the hardware, configures OpenSlides, and handles hardening, monitoring, updates, backup and technical support. Access can be limited to the internal network or enabled through VPN and existing identities.

“WZ-IT's advice on our Azure migration was technically sound and completely non-binding right from the intro call - we took away a great deal.”
Whether a specific IT challenge or just an idea - we look forward to the exchange. In a brief conversation, we'll evaluate together if and how your project fits with WZ-IT.
