This is how a maintenance cycle runs in your environment - from update to report.
PVE minor updates are applied in the agreed maintenance window, critical fixes promptly even outside the cycle. In clusters node by node via maintenance mode.
Major upgrades like PVE 8 to 9 run as a dedicated maintenance window: pve8to9 check on every node, backup verification upfront, then controlled node by node.

The Proxmox Backup Server is maintained as well: updates, prune/GC jobs and verify status in view. Each cycle we run a restore sample to confirm backups can actually be restored.
We review the Zabbix triggers against your environment: adjust thresholds, defuse false positives, add new hosts and services to the monitoring.
After each cycle you receive a compact report: applied updates, anomalies, backup status and recommendations for the next cycle.

Our maintenance includes regular updates (Proxmox VE, kernel, system components), security patches, 24/7 performance monitoring, backup verification, cluster health checks, storage optimization, and emergency support. The exact scope is individually tailored to your environment.
The service contract is calculated based on environment size - transparently and without hidden items. If you want us to take over full operations (Managed Proxmox with 24/7 monitoring), packages start at €179.90 per node per month. In a short intro call we give you a concrete price for your environment.
We coordinate the update frequency with you. Security-critical patches are applied promptly, regular updates during planned maintenance windows. We test updates before rollout in a staging environment, if available.
We plan major upgrades as a dedicated maintenance window within the contract. Beforehand, the pve8to9 check runs on every node, backups are verified and Ceph and PBS compatibility is checked. In clusters we upgrade node by node via maintenance mode, so HA-managed VMs keep running. PVE 8 reaches end of life in August 2026 - we recommend scheduling the upgrade in good time.
Critical security updates do not wait for the next regular maintenance window. We assess the relevance for your environment, apply the patch promptly outside the schedule and inform you about the procedure in advance. The intervention is documented in the report of the current cycle.
For critical incidents, we respond according to your agreed service level. Our monitoring systems detect problems proactively - often before you notice anything. In emergencies, we also coordinate hardware replacement with your provider if needed.
No. Proxmox works fully without an enterprise subscription. We provide the support you would otherwise get directly from Proxmox. If you still want a subscription (e.g., for enterprise repository access), we are happy to assist.
We monitor all critical metrics via our highly available Zabbix cluster: CPU, RAM, disk I/O, network, RAID/ZFS status, Ceph health, VM status, and cluster quorum. We react proactively to anomalies. You get access to your own monitoring dashboard.
Maintenance mode is a Proxmox feature for HA clusters: when a node is put into maintenance mode, Proxmox migrates its HA-managed VMs to other nodes so updates or hardware work are possible without downtime. In our maintenance windows we use exactly this mechanism - cluster updates run without interruption.
