WZ-IT designs and operates Proxmox on your hardware in a suitable STACKIT colocation. Location, certification scope, and operational boundaries are confirmed in advance.

Companies worldwide trust WZ-IT
The following are trademarks of their respective owners: STACKIT (STACKIT GmbH & Co. KG (Schwarz Gruppe)). WZ-IT is an independent service provider and has no business, partnership, or contractual relationship with these companies. We offer independent migration, installation, hosting, and operations services. Proxmox is a trademark of Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH. WZ-IT is an authorized reseller partner of Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH. Our managed services and service levels are agreed separately from Proxmox subscriptions.
An option for projects that combine customer-owned hardware, European locations, and traceable responsibility boundaries.
STACKIT is part of Schwarz Digits. The provider publishes data centre locations in Germany and Austria; the service location and data paths are confirmed for the specific project.
STACKIT publishes assurance material including BSI C5, ISO 27001, and EN 50600. We assess which report applies to which service, location, and period for each project.
The target model uses customer-owned servers in a suitable colocation. Rack, power, uplinks, remote hands, and potential redundancy are agreed before implementation.
Protection needs, regulatory requirements, service location, administrative access, and evidence are translated into the architecture. Any specific compliance depends on the confirmed scope.
Industries with highest compliance requirements benefit most from sovereignty guarantees.
Define service location, access, documentation, and required evidence as part of the target architecture.
Plan sensitive data, roles, backup, recovery, and additional contractual requirements together.
Assess assurance, outsourcing, security, and resilience requirements before technical implementation.
Design segmentation, availability, recovery, and documented responsibilities around the required protection level.
We handle the setup of your Proxmox infrastructure on STACKIT, from architecture and migration to ongoing operations with a selectable service level.

Product names and general certification lists do not replace a project assessment. We confirm the conditions relevant to your environment before implementation.
The data centre, uplinks, administrative access, and potential off-site targets are defined for the target design.
We assess which reports and certificates actually cover the planned service, location, and period.
Hardware, colocation, networking, hypervisor, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response receive clear responsibility boundaries.
Backup targets, keys, retention, RTO/RPO, and optional restore tests are confirmed separately.
The target model described here uses customer-owned hardware in a suitable STACKIT colocation. Available locations, space, power, uplinks, and remote hands are confirmed directly for the project.
We size servers, storage, and networking. Procurement, ownership, the colocation contract, and on-site services are assigned clearly before the build.
We install Proxmox VE, design ZFS or Ceph, separate management, cluster, and storage networks, and implement the agreed backup and hardening scope.
Managed Proxmox adds 24/7 proactive monitoring, updates in maintenance windows, backup management, and the agreed incident response from €179.90 per node and month.
Native STACKIT cloud services can be integrated where required. Each service, data path, and responsibility boundary is assessed separately from the Proxmox cluster. Ongoing hypervisor operations are covered by Managed Proxmox.

Answers to the most important questions
STACKIT is the cloud and colocation provider of Schwarz Digits. The provider publishes European data centre locations and various certificates and assurance reports. For a specific Proxmox project, we confirm the location, service scope, contractual model, and the evidence that actually applies.
Our target model uses customer-owned hardware in a suitable colocation. We design sizing, networking, storage, and Proxmox while the customer contracts the required infrastructure services. Availability, location, rack, power, and remote-hands services are confirmed in advance.
Both can be useful. Proxmox on customer-owned hardware creates a clearly controlled virtualisation, storage, and network layer. Native cloud services can complement it where their functions and responsibility boundaries fit the target design. We assess both layers separately and document their interfaces.
The models are not directly comparable: colocation with customer-owned hardware has different cost components from rented bare metal or consumption-based cloud resources. We compare procurement, space, power, networking, on-site services, backup, and operations for the specific target design.
Proxmox supports established export and migration paths. The effort of a later move depends on storage, networking, hardware, data volume, and connected services. We therefore keep the architecture and responsibilities documented and avoid unnecessary provider-specific dependencies.
The overall framework consists of hardware, colocation and network connectivity, plus the build and ongoing operations. Managed Proxmox starts at €179.90 net per node and month; hardware, provider services, cluster architecture, and additional recovery requirements are priced separately.
No risk: worst case, you leave with a clearer understanding of your project than before.

“WZ-IT's advice on our Azure migration was technically sound and completely non-binding right from the intro call - we took away a great deal.”
Customer feedback on virtualization, backup, VPN, security and ongoing cluster operations.
“WZ-IT moved our studio infrastructure from decentralised individual devices to a central platform: every site is securely connected via VPN, new devices are onboarded automatically and an entire site is provisioned from a template, without manual steps on location. What impressed me most is the breadth and depth of their knowledge: Timo and Robin are not a typical IT provider who sets up a server and leaves. The two of them think their way into highly complex infrastructure and software topics, work through every requirement we put in front of them, and build networking, provisioning and operations so that everything fits together in the end. WZ-IT is an excellent partner for complex software, network and architecture projects.”
