Jitsi is more than a video solution – it's a framework. The combination of IFrame API for frontend integration and Prosody (XMPP) for backend logic enables deep customization.
For frontend integrations, we use the IFrame API. We control the meeting from outside: mute/unmute, layout changes, participant management from your web app.
In the backend (XMPP server), we use Lua hooks to deeply intervene in session logic. Authentication, room creation, or recording control happens here.
For mobile apps, we use the SDK to seamlessly integrate Jitsi into your iOS/Android app – without the user noticing they're using external technology.

Patients should not need an account and only enter when the doctor is ready.
We implement 'lobby' logic via JWT token. The patient waits in a digital waiting room (your web app) and is only admitted via API when the doctor clicks.
Jitsi should only be accessible to employees with existing company login.
A custom Prosody module validates your internal session tokens or checks against an external database whether the user has permission for this specific room.
Meetings must be recorded and archived for compliance.
We control Jibri (recording service) programmatically. Recordings are automatically started, tagged with metadata, and moved directly to your S3 storage/Nextcloud after ending.
