How the Proxmox subscription works
Proxmox VE can be used without licence costs. The subscription is a plan for the enterprise repository and vendor support, not for the software itself.
Billed per CPU socket
A Proxmox VE subscription applies per populated CPU socket and year, not per core. A server with two sockets needs two subscriptions. In a cluster, all nodes use the same tier.
All tiers: enterprise repository
Every tier unlocks the enterprise repository with the stable updates. The tiers differ in support: community support, then tickets with a growing number and shorter response time, and from Standard also remote support via SSH.
Backup Server and Mail Gateway separate
Proxmox Backup Server and Proxmox Mail Gateway have their own subscriptions per server or host, with their own prices. Both can be sourced through us if needed.
Invoice from WZ-IT
As a reseller, we supply the subscription as a voucher at the vendor's list price and invoice it in euros. We match the tier to your needs and tell you in advance how many sockets you need.

- Proxmox announced that Premium includes round-the-clock ticket support from 19 October 2026, with Standard following by the end of 2026. Current support hours are listed on the vendor's pricing page.
