Use Dell Pro Max with GB10 as a complete AI platform? WZ-IT handles the model, Open WebUI, hardening, integration, functional testing, and optional ongoing operations. Explore the AI Cube Pro

Dell Pro Max with GB10 brings NVIDIA's compact Grace Blackwell platform into Dell's workstation and support environment. Its 128 GB of unified memory, DGX OS, 10 GbE, and ConnectX-7 support local models and later expansion. Dell's documented desktop and network appliance modes are particularly relevant for business deployment.

Hardware and operating modes

Dell lists a 2 TB QLC SSD or 4 TB self-encrypting drive depending on market and configuration. Initial setup selects desktop or network appliance operation, and the mode can be changed later.

For a centrally provided AI service, appliance mode is often the more suitable starting point. It does not replace hardening: network paths, identities, updates, and recovery must still be defined.

Separate vendor support from platform operations

Dell offers Basic Hardware Service or ProSupport options depending on the region. These are useful for hardware diagnostics and replacement but do not automatically operate the AI application installed on the device.

Platform operations also include updating DGX OS, drivers, containers, and model runtime; monitoring Open WebUI and endpoints; managing users and roles; backing up chat data and knowledge spaces; measuring model quality and throughput; and documenting support access.

Provide local AI to employees

After setup, staff access Open WebUI in the browser. They can use approved local models and maintain personal or shared knowledge spaces according to their permissions. The system remains on the internal network or becomes available through controlled VPN or NetBird access.

Automated sources and business processes are added as integrations. A hardware warranty does not resolve those architecture decisions.

When Dell Pro Max with GB10 fits

The Dell system is a natural option where Dell is already an approved hardware supplier, a documented appliance mode is wanted, or vendor support needs to fit existing procurement. The choice between 2 TB and 4 TB should follow model artefacts, knowledge data, and required headroom.

Dell support and managed AI platform operations complement each other. Dell handles the hardware case while WZ-IT manages model endpoints, Open WebUI, updates, backup, and user access. This boundary should be documented before launch so an incident does not begin with determining responsibility.

WZ-IT configuration and expansion

In the AI Cube Pro, WZ-IT combines this hardware class with local runtime, Open WebUI, an agreed model, hardening, functional testing, initial setup, and five hours of support. Managed updates, monitoring, and support are optional.

A second system can increase total throughput or support a larger model. Two devices do not automatically share memory. See the ConnectX-7 cluster guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most important questions

The compact Dell system combines NVIDIA GB10, 128 GB of unified memory, and DGX OS for local inference, AI development, and edge use cases. Regional configurations include 2 TB or 4 TB SSDs.

Desktop mode uses a directly connected display and input devices for setup. Appliance mode is primarily administered over the network. Dell allows users to switch modes after initial setup.

No. Vendor support covers hardware and diagnostics according to the contract. Model runtime, Open WebUI, users, data, backup, monitoring, and integration remain separate operating tasks.

Yes. Dell provides two ConnectX-7 QSFP ports and describes connection to a second Dell Pro Max with GB10. The software must be configured for load balancing or distributed inference.
