Groupware
Operate calendars, contacts, tasks and team functions.
WZ-IT designs and operates EGroupware as a sovereign workspace with mail, calendar, identity and office integration and a controlled migration.
Companies worldwide trust WZ-IT
The following are trademarks of their respective owners: EGroupware (EGroupware GmbH). WZ-IT is an independent service provider and has no business, partnership, or contractual relationship with these companies. We offer independent migration, installation, hosting, and operations services.
EGroupware can consolidate many workflows but does not automatically replace mail servers, directories or online office. The target architecture determines which services are integrated.
We assess users, domains, mailboxes, calendars, files and required modules and plan introduction or takeover as a scoped project.
Features, maintenance and available integrations differ by edition and vendor package. Collabora Online may also require its own licence and sizing.
EGroupware is therefore offered after technical and licensing assessment rather than as a flat standard application.
Calendars, contacts, tasks, files and connected mail or office services require a shared migration, security and update plan.
Operate calendars, contacts, tasks and team functions.
Connect mail, Collabora, directories and related services.
Protect database, files, calendars and address books.
Plan imports, plugins, updates, monitoring and recovery.
WZ-IT operates the agreed platform; data quality and business processes remain shared or customer-owned.
| Area | Responsibility | Scope and boundaries |
|---|---|---|
| EGroupware platform | WZ-IT | Deployment, database, proxy, monitoring, backup and updates. |
| Mail and office integration | WZ-IT | Technical connection of agreed external services. |
| Migration | Shared | We migrate while the customer validates calendars, contacts and rights. |
| Roles and organisation | Shared | Groups and access follow customer-approved rules. |
| Content and retention | Customer | The customer owns data and retention policy. |
| Custom modules | Optional WZ-IT service | Plugins, workflows and interfaces are scoped separately. |
Provide shared calendars, resources, address books and scheduling centrally.
Organise tasks, time and project information in a shared workspace.
Manage contacts, organisations and activities depending on modules and roles.
Integrate file storage and Collabora Online for the selected architecture.
Connect user directories, SSO and permissions depending on edition and environment.
Embed mailboxes, synchronisation and available APIs into existing communication paths.
Assess existing data and configuration, migrate them in a test run and move to managed operations through a controlled cutover.
Secure SSO, roles, administrative paths and external access for the application and existing infrastructure.
Back up all stateful components consistently and document the recovery path for the agreed scope.
Monitor and update the application and its technical dependencies and operate them under the agreed service level.
A clearly defined operating scope instead of an opaque hosting flat fee.
We set up a test instance for you, usually on the next business day. No payment details required. After seven days it is deleted unless you continue.
We combine the right compute size with ongoing operations, backups, monitoring and a service level appropriate for the criticality of EGroupware. High availability and recovery targets are designed separately where needed.
We also design custom hosting architectures, integrations and migrations around EGroupware. Contact us for a technical assessment.
One managed standard EGroupware application is included in the Starter workload. Business and higher levels add a flexible operations allowance for planned work during regular service hours. Select compute, additional applications, storage and the appropriate service level.
A workload is one compute instance with the applications agreed for it.
One standard app per workload is already included. Additional dedicated servers count as separate workloads.
€79.90 per started TB and month, including daily encrypted offsite backup with 7-day retention.

“WZ-IT's advice on our Azure migration was technically sound and completely non-binding right from the intro call - we took away a great deal.”
Whether a specific IT challenge or just an idea - we look forward to the exchange. In a brief conversation, we'll evaluate together if and how your project fits with WZ-IT.
