Answers to the most important questions
Duration depends on your infrastructure complexity. Small setups (few VMs) can be migrated in 1-2 weeks. Complex environments with multiple databases and services need 4-8 weeks. We create an individual timeline after the initial analysis.
We map the Azure services actually in use to a target architecture individually. Possible components include managed PostgreSQL or MySQL instances, containers for suitable Functions workloads and S3-compatible object storage. Not every proprietary feature has a one-to-one replacement.
Savings depend on VM sizes, managed disks, databases, traffic, discounts and the future operating model. We therefore compare the current Azure invoice with an appropriately sized Hetzner target architecture.
Hetzner offers selectable locations in Germany and Finland, a data processing agreement and documented technical measures. Whether the specific system meets privacy requirements also depends on its configuration, subprocessors, integrations and actual data flows.
Microsoft Entra ID can continue to provide authentication where the application supports it. Alternatively, we assess Keycloak or Authentik; this can reduce dependencies, while integrations and recovery paths still require separate planning.
The existing Azure infrastructure remains available until the validated cutover and throughout the agreed rollback window. Cutover, fallback criteria and decommissioning are defined in advance.
We migrate Azure SQL to PostgreSQL or MySQL, depending on requirements. Databases can be replicated during migration to minimize downtime.
Azure Functions become Docker containers that we deploy via Coolify or Kubernetes. This reduces costs significantly and prevents vendor lock-in.
We migrate Blob Storage to Hetzner Object Storage (S3-compatible). If needed, we offer multi-region replication and lifecycle rules.
Yes: We set up Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and Alertmanager – more flexible, fully open-source and significantly cheaper.
We mirror your network segmentation, firewalls and access rules and replace Azure network services with Private Networks, Floating IPs and Load Balancers at Hetzner.
