Analysis, migration, operations: three steps with a stated price
The initial consultation is free of charge. The cloud exit assessment, migration and operations follow the prices in the service catalogue.
Step 2 · Cloud migrationfrom €1,990 excl. VATTarget architecture, test run, data transfer and cutover with a defined scope. The amount depends on workloads and data.
The three steps build on each other without requiring each other. The analysis does not commit you to the migration, nor the migration to operations. All prices are net and exclude statutory VAT. The offers are addressed to businesses.

Answers to the most important questions
- After assessing the existing environment, we agree the timeline with you based on data volume, dependencies, testing scope and available cutover windows.
- OVH vRack is an isolated private network. Hetzner Private Networks connect cloud servers within a network zone; vSwitch connects dedicated servers through virtual layer-2 networks, VLAN IDs 4000 to 4091, including across locations. Internal traffic is free; public subnets have separate charges. Map vRack networks, VLANs and IP blocks during assessment.
- A migration can make sense when data location, pricing structure, portability or a differently operated target system better fits the workload. We compare the current OVH plan with a sized Hetzner target architecture.
- SecNumCloud and other assurance reports each apply to a defined provider, service and audit scope. We map regulatory requirements against the current evidence, contracts, data locations and technical measures of the specific target architecture.
- Transfer S3-compatible data with rclone or an appropriate tool. Validate API features, permissions and application behaviour, not only the endpoint. See rclone and MinIO and Hetzner: migrate a bucket from another provider.
- For suitable workloads, OVH Logs Data Platform can be replaced by Prometheus, Grafana and Loki. Data storage, retention, availability and operating effort are designed around the specific requirements.
- Port speed, included traffic and overage differ by product and location. We compare the current target plans with the measured throughput and traffic profile.
- OVH offers a broader global footprint; Hetzner includes selectable German and Finnish locations. Suitability depends on user locations, latency, resilience and privacy requirements.
- Domain registration and hosting are separate contracts. The domain can stay with its registrar; update DNS records to the new Hetzner addresses during cutover. A registrar transfer is a separate process.
- Hetzner Online GmbH and Hetzner Finland Oy are certified to DIN ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (certification and scope). Assess any additional evidence required by your industry against the requirements.
