Analysis, migration, operations: three steps with a stated price
The initial consultation is free of charge. The cloud exit assessment, migration and operations follow the prices in the service catalogue.

The three steps build on each other without requiring each other. The analysis does not commit you to the migration, nor the migration to operations. All prices are net and exclude statutory VAT. The offers are addressed to businesses.

Answers to the most important questions
- The process depends on services, data volume, dependencies and available test access. Dates and cutover windows are agreed after inventory.
- Depending on requirements, LKE is replaced by k3s, Talos or Kubernetes on Hetzner. Control plane, upgrades and backups belong in the operating plan; Coolify is an option for simpler applications. Kubernetes on Hetzner.
- A migration can make sense when EU data locations, a different traffic model or greater control over the operating stack better fits the workload. We compare price and scope using the current Akamai Cloud plan and a sized Hetzner target architecture.
- Akamai Cloud offers a broader global footprint; Hetzner includes selectable locations in Germany and Finland. Suitability depends on user locations, latency, resilience and privacy requirements for the specific system.
- Managed services differ in scope, response time and responsibility boundaries. WZ-IT can cover monitoring, updates, backups and incident handling; support hours and response targets depend on the selected service level.
- Hetzner Object Storage is S3-compatible but does not support every S3 feature. Replication, tagging and custom bucket domains are unavailable according to the documentation. We check used features and CDN dependencies and transfer data with rclone. S3 migration guide.
- Yes. Included allowance, locations, port speed and overage charges depend on the plan. We compare the current terms of both target plans with the measured traffic profile.
- Linode was acquired by Akamai in 2022. This brings benefits such as CDN integration, but it also changes provider and product dependencies. For a migration to Hetzner, we compare current pricing, architecture and operating model; this does not imply a long-term price guarantee.
- Hetzner, OVHcloud, Scaleway or IONOS may fit depending on services, locations and operating model. The cloud exit assessment compares suitable targets.
